About Venture Caravans
Where we are now...
Venture are now firmly established as one of the leading caravan dealers in the country with a wealth of experience and knowledge.
In recent years Venture Caravans have been awarded the “Go Caravan magazine” dealer of the year as well as Adria Caravans dealer of the year for 2008/9/10/11 and 12. This year saw us entered as finalists in the coveted Practical Caravan magazine 2012 “Dealer of the year” awards.
We operate in the heart of the country, near to the Watford Gap in Northamptonshire from a 4 acre site with newly built workshop facilities for all your service and repair needs as well as a refurbished and well stocked accessory shop. We are open 7 days a week including Bank holidays”.
A brief history...
2011
More caravans! We expanded into this area in 1992, the access road was added in 2006, the workshop was built in 2010. With this area and the the area pictured below, we offer one of the largest caravan displays in the Midlands.
2011
With the workshop relocated to another part of the Venture Caravans, A5 site, development of the sales area and accessory shop can forge ahead. Believe it or not, this is the same area that is pictured in the 1971 photo below (from a different angle).
2010
With further commitment to customer care, we start the building of our purpose built, and now NCC approved, worshop and aftersales department, which is now fully opperational.
1999
A big change. The petrol station canopy is removed to make way for more customer parking, better access and more caravans.
1987
With Caravans seeming to pop up all around us, Jack takes to the air in a Comanche aeroplane to record this lovely picture of our busy little dealership. At this point expansion into the adjascent field had not yet happened. that was to come later in 1992.
1976
Throughout the 70’s camping grew in popularity and we expanded in to the sales of new and used caravans. We started selling Adria Caravans in 1978 and later became a Bailey Caravans dealer in 1992.
1971
Venture Caravans first started in 1971 as “GoCamping”, selling petrol, tents and trailers. Petrol was the main business, with a camping shop also being run from this site (which was also the family home).
