You are invited...
Welcome to your Celebratory 40th Anniversary edition of the Venture Caravans e-newsletter...

So, Autumn has officially arrived, and for us here at Venture Caravans this October is a very exciting month. Not only is this Saturday a very big day for England in the World Cup – Come on England – but next week we are celebrating a whopping 40 years in the business. To mark this very special occasion we wanted to do our bit for carbon offsetting and put something back into the environment, so we are planting 40 trees for 40 years, here on site.

We wouldn’t have made it here without you, our valued customers, so we are
making October a very special month for you. This starts next Tuesday 4th October when we will be holding a ceremony which you are personally invited to. The day will kick off at 10am when the final of our 40 trees will be planted. This will launch a week of offers and promotions on the forecourt and in-store, so please come down and celebrate with us, join us for a glass of fizz and take advantage of the huge range of offers available for this week only. As if you needed another reason to visit, we will also be opening our newly expanded showroom, to give you an even greater selection of caravan and motorhome accessories.

We very much look forward to seeing you there!

SHOW NEWS
Motorhome & Caravan Show
It's that time of year again...
Aside from our summer holidays, it’s the time of year us caravanners most look forward to, The Motorhome & Caravan Show at Birmingham’s NEC. We are sure it’s already firmly penned in your diaries, but a reminder that the UK’s biggest caravanning event takes place from the 11th-16th October. Be sure to visit the Adria and the Bailey stands and be first to see their brand new models – one of the Venture team will be on each stand to show you around.

Wedding bells...
The bells have certainly being ringing this summer as two of our shop team members tied the knot. We would like to congratulate Chloe Le Keux who married in fifties style in Cambridgeshire and Victoria Everett-Hughes who jet-setted off to Turkey for her big day. As you can see from the pictures, they were truly beautiful brides, and we wish them both all the happiness in their married lives.

Congratulations Chole

Yes, that’s the on-road delivery cost completely taken off ANY Bailey or Adria caravan, so if something has taken your fancy, now is the time to bag that bargain. But hurry, you only have until the end of October to benefit from this very special deal.

Top 10 Tips on Greener Caravanning
As we are celebrating 40 years by putting something back into the environment, here are 10 top tips on how we can all do our bit to be green.

  1. The newer the caravan the better as models have become increasingly better insulated over the years.
  2. Save fuel on heating by wearing an extra layer rather than notching the heating up.
  3. Recycle your plastic bags by using for multiple shopping trips or as waste sacks.
  4. If your site doesn’t have recycling facilities make the effort to take your waste to municipal recycling points on your way home. These can often be found in supermarket car parks.
  5. Separate you metal, glass and paper waste. Recycling all the aluminium cans in the UK would result in 12,000,000 fewer dustbins full of waste a year, and 17 trees can be saved for each ton of recycled paper.
  6. Only boil as much water as you are going to use.
  7. Do the washing up with the hot water you used to boil an egg.
  8. Use low energy bulbs and turn off lights and electrical equipment when not in use.
  9. Try to walk, cycle or use public transport more when on holiday. Leave the car behind at the site.
  10. Buy locally produced food from local bakers, farm shops, and farmers’ markets. This reduces the number of lorries on our roads, and it’s always nice to sample local produce when on holiday.
