How big are two berth motorhomes?
Two berth motorhomes are typically between 5m (16.4 foot) and 7m (22.9 foot) in length, and around 2m (6.5 foot) to 2.5m (8.2 foot) wide. In terms of height, you will find 2 berth motorhomes can vary in height but are usually around 2.43m (8 foot) to 3.04m (10 foot) tall.
Many factors can influence the size of a two berth motorhome, these include whether it is coachbuilt or a van conversion, the base vehicle it utilises if a van conversion, the size of the living area inside, the motorhome layout, and the range of facilities it offers. Features like roof storage, air conditioning, and solar panels will all add extra height to a two berth motorhome. Whilst features like fixed beds, kitchen appliances, and bathroom size will all have a bearing on the length of a coachbuilt motorhome.
If looking at a two berth motorhome van conversion, you will often find that most manufacturers utilise either Ford Transit, Fiat Ducato, or Peugeot Boxer base vehicles. Whilst to a lesser extent Citroën Relay, VW Crafter, MAN TGE, Renault Master, and Mercedes Sprinter base vehicles will be utilised. As all of these vehicles are a similar size; with the Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, and Citroën Relay all essentially being the same vehicle, and the same going for the VW Crafter and the MAN TGE. For this reason, you will find that most two berth motorhome van conversions are of a similar size, regardless of manufacturer.
